The OC Football Academy is very excited to again be able to offer the following summer training clinics for a significantly reduced price, due to our partnership with A3 Education.  A3 helps to subsidize these clinics allowing us to charge a fractional amount of our usual training fees.

A player is only eligible to register for a single clinic.

REGISTRATION FEE: $40 (covers all dates listed in a training session)

Location: Beckman HS
Dates: Sunday July 1st, 8th, 22nd, 29th, August 5th (this date is still not finalized, one hour film/board work session only), August 12th

5th-9th Grade 10:30 a.m. - 12:00 p.m.

Location: Mission Viejo High School
Dates: July 5, 12, 19, 25th (Shadow Day)
Time: 10:00 a.m - 11:30 a.m.
This session will be focused on positions on both offense and defense, with 7v7 time at the end of each session. When registering select both an offensive and defensive position.

Please note that when registering for these clinics the player will also be registered in A3's summer enrichment program. What does this mean for the player? It simply means the athlete will receive a Complete for their attendance at the clinic. They do not receive any type of school units. This is not optional. If a player would prefer not to be enrolled in the enrichment program they can still register for the camp at the regular price of $35 per session for QB's and $20 per session for WR's.  Please contact on how to register for single sessions.

OUR STAFF: All coaches are either current or former high school coaches. There is an approximate 8-1 player/coach ratio for QB's and 12-1 for other positions.

OUR PHILOSOPHY:The philosophy is simple...we don't make players, we give players the tools to make themselves. We believe players can be as good as they want to be, but that comes from relentless work. A player will not be made in the 1-2 hours a week they spend with us. It is the other 6 days a week that will determine how they progress. Each session we instill fundamentals, correct flaws, and give players the drills and coaching points that they need to focus on when they are not with us. When a player returns the following week it is obvious if they have spent the time on their own putting in the work. No question they will improve in their time out on the field with us, but if work is not put in when they are on their own that growth will be minimal.

GRADE LEVELS: Training is for players in grades 3rd-9th grade only. While in the past we have trained younger kids, we have found most kids younger than 3rd grade struggle to grasp concepts, and remember fundamentals week to week.

TRAINING: Our training is for all football players, be it flag or tackle, beginner or advanced. The fundamentals and mechanics being taught can be applied to players in any football program, at all levels.

Quarterback Training

Beginners: The focus at the beginner level is QB basics. Proper throwing technique and footwork are the primary instruction points.

Intermediate/Advanced: The emphasis here is on throwing mechanics, 3-step and 5-step drops, understanding route concepts, and breaking down defensive coverages.

If you are unsure which level to register for we suggest starting at the lower level, and we can then move a player up if necessary.

Wide Receiver Training

Beginners: For beginning WR's, players are instructed on correct stance, hand positioning while catching a pass (with focus on catching the ball in the hands), and route running.

Intermediate/Advanced: Wide receivers in this group will focus on ball catching skills, precise route running, jam get-offs, and reading the defensive secondary.

Film Room / Board Work

Training sessions will also include classroom style instruction. Offensive and defensive schemes will be be the main point of emphasis. There will be film review as well of game tapes reviewing the concepts being discussed. Actually seeing these concepts applied on film significantly helps players with comprehension.
